11 Jul 2007 - The Oscars!
This term Beaumont Primary School, Hadleigh Community School, St Mary's School and Elmsett School, were each to choose two TA's and a team of children to master a programme called 'Movie Maker' and produce a short movie about their school.
Mrs Robinson and Mrs Hazell choose Hollie P-F, Olivia S, Harry, Connor, Rachel, Linzi and Scott to be their budding film makers. The children took photographs and with some help, decided how the film should look. This included putting in text, video transitions and music.
Once the film was finished, St Mary's School hosted an 'Oscars Evening', which gave the opportunity for everyone to dress up, have some nibbles and of course, show their parents and the other schools what they had done.
Each and every film was wonderful and much enjoyed by everyone. The schools received their very own 'Oscar' and a certificate for each child.
